Class 01 — Beginner Friendly
Twerk
Twerk is a dynamic dance style focused on hip movement, pelvic mobility, rhythm, and body awareness. These classes combine twerk technique and choreography: sometimes focusing on foundational hip and pelvic movements, and other times learning choreographies with twerk elements, musicality, and expression.
This style is deeply connected to pelvic mobility and body awareness. Through movement, you can release tension, improve coordination, feel more free in your body, and become more connected to yourself. Twerk is energetic, expressive, playful, and sensual in a way that encourages confidence, freedom, self-expression, and deeper connection with your body.
A lot of tension and stress can build up in the hips and pelvis over time, especially from emotional stress or a sedentary lifestyle. Movement in this area can feel incredibly freeing both physically and emotionally. These classes are not only about learning how to dance, but also about enjoying movement, improving mobility, boosting energy, and feeling more confident in your body.
This style may be perfect for you if you want to: feel more confident and free in your body · improve hip mobility and body coordination · release stress and emotional tension through movement · reconnect with your femininity and sensuality · try something empowering and outside of your comfort zone.
No dance experience is needed — the most important thing is being open to movement and enjoying the process.

Class 02 — Beginner Friendly
High Heels
High Heels dance is where fashion meets choreography. Born from the stages of burlesque and the runways of vogue, it's a style that celebrates femininity in every form — powerful, playful, and unapologetically bold.
We teach you how to walk, turn, and move in heels safely and gracefully. You'll build leg strength, body awareness, and the kind of floor presence that turns heads. Heels are optional — you're welcome to train in socks or flats while you build confidence.
This class is for every woman who's ever wanted to own a room. You don't need to be a dancer. You just need to show up.

Common questions
FAQ
Do I need dance experience to join?
No experience needed. All classes at bounce lab are beginner-friendly — the most important thing is showing up and enjoying the movement. Many students come with zero dance background.
What if I feel self-conscious or nervous?
That's completely normal — most of our students felt the same way before their first class. bounce lab is a judgment-free space where everyone supports each other. You'll feel comfortable from the very first minute.
What should I wear to a twerk or high heels class?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in. For Twerk classes, wear shorts or pants that allow your glutes to move freely — avoid tight compression or shaping clothing that restricts movement. For High Heels, bring a pair of heels (5–8 cm recommended) or train in socks while you build confidence.
How much does a drop-in class cost in Portland?
Every class is priced the same: Drop-in is $30, and a Monthly Pass is $100. The Monthly Pass is valid for 5 weeks from your purchase date and can be used for any classes on the schedule — Twerk or High Heels.
Can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
Yes! You can reschedule or cancel your booking up to 24 hours before the class at no charge. Just reach out to us by phone or email.
Where do bounce lab classes take place in Portland?
Classes are held at 2648 E Burnside St, Portland, OR 97214, United States. Whole Foods is located nearby and may be a convenient nearby option for parking.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend booking online to reserve your spot — classes can fill up quickly. Walk-ins are welcome based on availability.
What dance styles does bounce lab offer?
Two weekly classes: Twerk (every Saturday 11 AM–12:20 PM) and High Heels (every Friday 7–8 PM). Both styles are beginner-friendly.
